Each candle comes with a dust cover or label describing the burning instructions.
Trim your wick to ¼” before each burn. Allow the melt pool to reach the edges of the container before extinguishing. This is roughly 3 to 4 hours for our signature boxed candles and 2 to 3 hours for our votive candles. The rule of thumb is 1 hour for each inch of the container’s diameter. This will allow the candle to burn cleanly and evenly. Candles have memory so if you extinguish it too quickly, you may experience tunneling.
To prevent fire and serious injury, burn your candle within sight. Keep away from drafts. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn your candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
Each candle is made from the finest, local and ethically sourced materials. We use simple, high-quality ingredients, free of any potentially harmful additives. We choose to work with a premium blend soy wax as it burns cleanly and consistently.
Our fragrance is of the highest quality and cosmetic-grade. We use a combination of natural, essential oils and perfume-grade fine fragrance.
We use 100% braided cotton wicks free from any metal cores.
When burning according to our recommended instructions, our signature boxed candles will burn for approximately 60 hours and our votive candles for approximately 30 hours.
Each candle produces a rich, long-lasting fragrance that gently fills the room. While it does help to eliminate odors, it’s not specially designed to be a room deodorizer.
Orders over $129 qualify for free shipping within Canada and the USA, with all free shipping provided via ground shipping. All paid shipping rates are non-refundable. Orders are typically processed within 3-5 business days. Shipping transit times are estimated at 1-5 business days within Canada and 5-7 business days to the USA. For international orders, additional duties, taxes, and handling fees may apply which are imposed by the shipping carrier and are beyond our control. Please note that shipping times may vary depending on demand and seasonal factors. We cannot guarantee delivery times as they are outside of our control. A tracking number is provided for all online orders. It is the responsibility of the receiver to monitor shipment(s). If a package is undeliverable due to an incomplete address or not retrieved from a delivery depot and is returned to us, your order will be refunded minus any shipping fees incurred. Your online order may be cancelled at the discretion of Vancouver Candle Co. Any damages must be reported within 14 days of delivery.
Yes, we offer a local studio pick up option every Friday between 10 am - 4 pm. Please select studio pick-up at check out. Orders must be processed and paid in advance. Once your order is ready for pick-up, you will receive a fulfillment notification. We look forward to seeing you Friday! Kindly note we are closed on statutory holidays.
